Meet the team behind G's Gourmet Jams

A truly family enterprise G’s Gourmet Jams have been delighting the public’s taste buds since 1998. But Helen Gee has long been recognised as a food producer in family and local circles. She started her now award winning jam making business as part of an alternative farm enterprise. On their family farm in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois, her husband Cyril grows the fruit and her daughter Sandra and sons Roy and Clive are also an integral part of the business. Originally from Co. Carlow Helen moved to Abbeyleix when she married Cyril. Her entrepreneurial spirit has always been strong, she was a founding member of Portlaoise County Markets, where she sold her home baking.

G’s Gourmet Jams are famed for using traditional family recipes and are still make  their jams in the old fashioned way, with an open pot, a wooden spoon, lots of elbow grease and just two ingredients, high quality fruit and sugar. It is truly is homemade and has that distinctive taste and their products grace the tables of some of Ireland’s most distinguished 5 star hotels. 

They have continued to diversify their range to include chutneys, relishes, reduced sugar range and seasonal treats.

Products are are based on seasonal produce, they are not all available at the same time.
