El Angel Pimenton Picante is oak-smoked picante chillies, traditionally ground in stone mills, carries an irresistible heat. The peppers are dried slowly over oakwood for several weeks prior to grinding to a fine powder. Bringing more heat to dishes than Dulce Paprika, this is made in Extremadura from the air-dried fruit of the Picante chilli pepper. Traditionally used to to add smoky, earthy depth to paella, this paprika can also be used to season sofrito or paella; in sauces and stews or Sprinkle over tzatziki, hummus and labneh. Suitable for vegetarians.
